Mochi are Japanese cakes made of rice paste from sticky rice. They are served mainly during New Year's celebrations, but can be served all year round. Usually the cakes are filled with a delicious filling, eg peanut flavor. Mochi is an unconventional delicacy for tea or coffee. However, it can also be used as a non-traditional and original gift.
