Ceylon tea comes from tea-growing areas on the island of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka was originally known for its coffee cultivation, which was largely brought to a standstill due to fungal attack. The Scot James Taylor planted and experimented with tea plants. Ceylon tea was born, which still bears the name of the island before political independence in 1972. Celyon tea has the best conditions in Sri Lanka near the equator and is known for its fine, bitter taste and a tangy, slightly citrus-like note. In the cup, Dallmayr Ceylon tea beguiles with a beautiful scent and a copper-red color.

Preparation
One pyramid bag per jar. Pour fresh, bubbly boiling water on top and let steep for 3 minutes.
