Green tea, which has been consumed in China for over 5,000 years, is an integral part of the Chinese culture. Unlike black tea, as a rule, it does not oxidize, which means that it retains its fresh color and the pleasant taste of dried grass. Our tea masters source quality green teas from the Chinese provinces of Jiangxi, Anhui and Zhejiang. This area is referred to as the "Golden Triangle" because of the excellent quality teas grown here.

We include high quality Chun Mee green tea in each of these blends - both silvery tips and leaf fannings. This delicate green tea is harvested in early spring and has a sweeter, nuttier flavor than other green teas. It translates to "rare eyebrows" and its name is inspired by the curled appearance of dried tea leaves. The addition of Chun Mee gives our green tea a rounded character that creates a beautiful background for flavored blends - enjoy it in its purest form in our Green Tea Pure. The leaves are prepared by frying in large pans, a traditional technique that locks in the flavor and natural antioxidants of the tea tree. Unlike steaming and air-drying, which are the methods used to make most Japanese teas, pan-frying gives the teas a subtle "toasted" touch,

To create our Jasmine Romance blend, we layer the green tea base blend above with freshly picked jasmine buds. The tea is then left to rest overnight, after which the buds open and introduce their sweet floral scent into the leaves. We repeat this step several nights to achieve the right balance. The result is a 100% natural green tea infusion with a fragrant jasmine scent. It even won a Great Taste award, impressing the judges with its "bright, clean tea base with an appealingly sweet and fresh jasmine character".

To create the other blends in this selection, we use our basic green tea, transforming the notes of toasted grass into wonderful aromatic tea expressions. Our Lemon Vitality tea brings a bold citrus twist to your green tea blend by adding pieces of dried lemon peel. We add chunks of juicy mango and lychee to our green Mango & Lychee blend to give it a hint of exotic sunshine, while dried pomegranate and raspberries bring a playful character to our Raspberry & Pomegranate blend. Both pickles are deliciously fruity.

Whole mint leaves provide the refreshing magic of Mint Mystique green tea - so much so that it won the Great Taste award. The judges praised it as a "clean-tasting green tea with a distinct mint flavor". We add our unique Ahmad Tea aroma to each to intensify the flavors while maintaining their perfect balance that complements the delicate green tea.
